Medical Adhesive Revolution is Falling Walls Science Startup of the Year

Medical Adhesive Revolution wins the Falling Walls International Conference 2015 on future breakthroughs in science and society.

The Falling Walls Conference, which takes place annually on November 9th, 2015 in Berlin is organized by the Falling Walls Foundation and connects participants from more than 75 countries to identify the innovation of the year that will bring the next wall to fall. The event is preceded by the Falling Walls Venture, a platform for science-based startups, investors and academia, where 20 selected startups get the opportunity to present their break-through innovations. The winner presents his idea to a group of 800 international decision makers from politics, business, science and media at the Falling Walls Conference the next day.
Nominated by the Gründerzentrum of the RWTH Aachen, Medical Adhesive Revolution was chosen as one of the 20 finalists to present at the annual Falling Walls Venture in front of 19 international jurors from industry, academia and media. In five minutes, followed by a two-minute discussion, Medical Adhesive Revolution convinced the jury of its innovation and business model.
“Medical Adhesive Revolution was the startup with the best presentation, the lowest risk, the greatest market potential and the strongest financing. The idea of revolutionary wound healing convinced us not only for its business potential, but especially for its potential to save lives”, explains Dr. Stefan von Holtzbrinck, Managing Director of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group and jury chairman of Falling Walls Venture.
As the winner of this year’s Falling Walls Venture and designated startup of the year, Medical Adhesive Revolution was invited to present its revolutionary technology and the next wall to fall to the audience of the Falling Walls Conference.
Falling Walls Venture is organized by the Falling Walls Foundation in cooperation with ‘Invest Europe – The Voice of Private Capital’ , ASTP-Proton, the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP), the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT), A.T Kearney, international partner universities and research institutions.
